Shannon grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, where she was immersed in the beauty industry from an early age. With a mother who was both a stylist and salon owner, Shannon quickly developed a love for the salon environment. She later worked as a stylist in her mother’s salon for nine years before joining Salon Ultimo. After six years, she was offered the opportunity to purchase the salon, a moment that would shape the future of her career.

Knowing her ideal business partner would be her husband, Chris, Shannon invited him to take that leap with her at just the right time. Together, they partnered with previous owners John and Rebecca, working alongside them for a year and a half to learn the business before becoming full owners in 2006.

In 2020, Shannon retired from doing hair due to a shoulder injury. Although this was devastating news, she stepped fully into mentoring and educating the team. Alongside Chris and the management team, she continues to help lead the everyday operations of Salon Ultimo with heart, vision, and dedication. Shannon is passionate about making the salon feel like home for both employees and guests, while also giving back to the community through local and national outreach.
